Minimal maintenance is required, but once a year remove theswivel pylon head and re-grease with a high temperature bearing grease. This willincrease use of the pylon and reduce normal wear and tear. To use, pull pylon up, rotateclockwise, and lower until in locked position.Malibu Boats’ “Pivoting-Head” ski pylon is designedfor normal water skiingactivities: slalom, jumping, kneeboarding, tricks, andbarefooting. Any other usessuch as parasailing, kiteflying, towing pyramids ofskiers, etc., may over-stressthe pylon and possibly causepersonal injury and/orequipment damage.2-12Figure 2-18.
