288. Uniti Series USB Audio8.1 USB Media and File CompatibilityUSB memory sticks must be in Windows/DOS format (FAT/FAT32) to be used with Uniti Series products. Apple formatsare not compatible.Uniti Series products can play audio files stored on USBSticks in the following formats: MP3, M4A, ALAC, AAC,LPCM16/24, FLAC, WMA, WAV, AIFF or Ogg Vorbis.Files must be free of digital rights management playbackrestrictions such as the Apple iTunes FairPlay system.8.2 iOS Device Compatibility and ChargingUniti Series products can play iOS audio files in thefollowing formats: MP3, M4A, ALAC, AAC, WAV and AIFF.An iOS device battery will be charged by default while it isconnected. Charging options can be changed in the USBinput setup menu. See Section 4.3.7.8.3 Browsing and Playing USB FilesWith a USB memory stick insertedor an iOS device connected andthe USB input selected, the displaywill enter list mode and show thestructure of stored audio files. Usethe handset up (5), down (6), left (3) and ok/list keys tobrowse and select items.Note: The memory stick or iOS device can be safelyconnected or disconnected at any time.Selecting a folder will display the list of files containedwithin and selecting a single file will begin playback.Playback will continue through any list of files containedwithin a folder. The order of play can be shuffled(randomised) by pressing the handset shuffle ( ) key.In long lists of items the handset numeric/text keys can beused to jump through the list alphabetically.Once playback is underway the display will exit fromlist mode and revert to normal mode where the handsettransport keys ( ) can be used to control playback.To re-enter list mode for further list browsing and selection,press the handset ok/list key.During playback, pressing the handset info ( ) key willalternately display data stream info and track elapsed time.Uniti Series products can play audio files stored on USB memory sticks and a variety of iOS devices connected to the frontpanel USB socket.
