Issue 5.0 UNIVERGE SV81002 - 10 FeaturesAlarm Repo rtsThe UNIVERGE SV8100 system logs various errors and reports information aboutthe operation that can be used to determine the cause of a problem. The system canindicate several errors on the multiline telephone display, output to a USB stick on theCD-CP00-US, or be downloaded in PCPro. The report data can also be sent viaemail.Alphanumeric DisplayMultibutton display telephones have a 3-line, 24 character per line alphanumericdisplay that provides various feature status messages. These messages help thedisplay telephone user process calls, identify callers and customize features.The contrast is not adjustable when the telephone has background music enabled.Anal og C ommuni catio ns Interf ac e (ACI)The Analog Communications Interface (ACI) feature uses a PGD(2)-U10 ADP (DoorPhone/Paging) adapter to provide two analog ports (with associated relays) for Musicon Hold, External Paging, Door Boxes and auxiliary devices such as tape recordersand loud bells. The system allows up to 48 PGD(2)-U10 ADPs (when used for ACIports) for a maximum of 96 analog ports. Each PGD(2)-U10 ADP requires an unusedport on a CD-8DLCA/CD-16DLCA blade.Ancillary Device ConnectionAncillary Device Connection allows installation of selected peripheral (ancillary)devices to a multiline terminal. This feature enhances peripheral device objectives.An UNIVERGE SV8100 multiline terminal user can accomplish this by using theAP(R)-R/APR-L Unit (Analog Port Adapter with Ringer) or AP(A)-R Unit (Analog PortAdapter without Ringer) for analog telephone devices, or installing the AD(A)-R/APA-L Unit to connect devices such as tape recorders.The AP(A)-R/AP(R)-R/APA-L Units are the interface for installing a single linetelephone, Modem, credit card reader, wireless headset, NEC Conference MaxConferencing unit or other compatible analog device.The PSA-L Unit (Power Save Adapter), an optional adapter for the ITL/DTLTerminals, is used to make or receive a call using the Public Switched TelephoneNetwork (PSTN) when a call cannot be made with the ITL/DLT extension.EnhancementsWhen attempting a call requiring an IP to TDM conversion and no DSP resource isavailable, the system displays a message on the multiline terminal and cangenerate an alarm via the Alarm Report (system software Version 3000 or higherrequired).
