For optimum performance, please note the following whensetting up and using the MultiSync ® XV 15+™ color monitor:• If possible, position the monitor so that it is facing east to minimizethe effects of the earth's magnetic field.• Allow adequate ventilation around the monitor so that heat canproperly dissipate. Do not put anything on top of the monitor.• Do not place any heavy objects on the power cord. Damage to thecord may cause shock or fire.• Changing the direction the monitor is facing while it is powered onmay cause image discoloration. To correct this, turn the monitor offfor 20 minutes before powering it back on.• Keep the monitor away from high capacity transformers, electricmotors and other devices such as external speakers or fans whichmay create strong magnetic fields.• Use the monitor in a clean and dry area.• Handle with care when transporting. Save packaging for transporting.12 Recommended Use• The power cable connector is the primary means of detaching thesystem from the power supply.
