An external image processing unit can be located close to sourceequipment such as computers, video tape players and DVD players etc. Therefore,only the projector needs to be located in the projection booth.The two inputs can be configured for use as:• two separate, individually selectable Single DVI-D inputs• one Twin link DVI-D inputFor short distances, a regular DVI-D cable may be used, but for distances greaterthan 5 metres the DigiLink high bandwidth optical connection system isrecommended.EDID handshakingIf you are using a computer DVI card or other DVI source that obeys the EDIDhandshaking protocol, then the card or source will automatically configure itself tosuit the projector.If not, then you should refer to the documentation supplied with the DVI source tomanually set the resolution to 2048 x 1080 or the nearest suitable setting.NotesFor more information aboutinput connectors seeConnections, in section 6.Appendix.For more information aboutsupported input formats seeSpecification, in section 6.Appendix.Cable complexity andinterference can be reduced byusing the Digilink highbandwidth optical connectionsystem.
