NEDXCM20125GIG UME-0041-01526 Packet Size and Packet Delay6.1 Packet SizePacket size can be changed via the GevSCPSPacketSize camera register. register name : GevSCPSPacketSize setting value : 512 ~ 9152 *1 packet contains not only image date, but also a data header with transmissioninformation. Therefore, by increasing the packet size, the number of packets tosend can be reduced, reducing the overall data volume.Notes:Do not set the size larger than your network’s MTU (Maximum TransmissionUnit). Doing so will result in image data not being able to be sent.6.2 Packet DelayPacket Delay can be set via the following register:・register name : GevSCPD・setting value : 0~4294967295Notes:Packet Delay is set to 0 at the time of shipping; however it should be set toas large a value as possible to obtain stable image data. However, if the value is too large, the frame rate will drop. See 6.3“Calculating the maximum value of packet delay”to set the most suitablevalue.Figure 6-2-1 Packet sizePacket delay setting register(Image from GigEGrab)
