Front Panel Operation22Switching AC powerON1. To apply AC power to the amplifier, press the rear AC mains button to the ( I )position.2. The cooling fans should immediately start and the front panel screen willdisplay an initialization screen as shown in Figure 5.Figure 5 BOOSTIK HP initializingConnect and switchON the seed laserWhen the amplifier has initialized, the display shown in Figure 1 indicates there isNO INPUT POWER and the front key switch is (KEY) OFF.1. Connect the seed laser’s optical output to the optical input of the BOOSTIKHP amplifier (see - “Connecting the optical input from a seed laser” onpage 33).Figure 6 Initialized2. Enable emission on the seed laser. The Pin (Power input) field in the frontpanel display shows the received emission power level as shown in Figure 7.Figure 7 Seed laser onTurn the key ON 1. To reset the interlock and turn on the preamplifier, turn the front panel key tothe ON position. The display changes the STATUS field to KEY ON as shownin Figure 7.Warning: With the connected seed laser ON, the Koheras BOOSTIK HP outputs anoptical power of approximately 300mW.
