CHAPTER 14WIDTH CHANGE PROCEDURE4614. Rotate the top shaft from the 12:00 position toward the shear to decrease thegap, or away from the shear to increase the gap until the feeler gage iscaptured.15. Tighten the “C” bolt to lock the position of the shaft.16. Repeat steps 11through 15for the remainder of the bead rollers.17. Start the machine, jog the material through the bead assemblies and stop 2 to 3inches from the entry shear dies.18. Inspect the beads for depth and re-adjust as necessary.CAUTION: SHUT THE MACHINE OFF BEFORE PROCEEDING.19.
