The SCXI-1129 isa relay switching matrix.Operating as a MatrixA matrix is one of the most flexible switching configurations. Unlike amultiplexer, a matrix can connect multiple inputs to multiple outputs. Amultiplexer is typically organized into channels and commons, while amatrix is organized into columns and rows. You can connect any columnto any number of rows and any row to any number of columns. At eachintersection of a row and column, there is a switch. When the switch isclosed, the row is connected to the column. The SCXI-1129 is a 2-wirematrix, as shown in Figure 2-1.
