INSTALLATION GUIDETBX-68S Isothermal Terminal BlockThis installation guide describes how to install and connect signals to theTBX-68S isothermal terminal block for use with the NI 2501 and NI 2503PXI switch cards.ContentsIntroduction ............................................................................................. 1What You Need to Get Started ............................................................... 2Signal Connection ................................................................................... 2Installing Your Terminal Block .............................................................. 3Rack-Mounting the TBX-68S................................................................. 5Cold-Junction Temperature Sensor......................................................... 5Specifications .......................................................................................... 7IntroductionThe TBX-68S is an isothermal DIN-rail mountable terminal block thatconsists of a shielded board with screw terminals that connect directly tothe front panel I/O connector of the NI 2501 or NI 2503.The terminals blocks can easily accommodate thermocouples, resistancetemperature detectors (RTDs), thermistors, and voltage signals. Theterminal blocks feature isothermal construction to minimize thetemperature gradients across the screw terminals and a high-accuracythermistor cold-junction temperature sensor for measuring withthermocouples. Enclosures keep out air currents to maintain an isothermalenvironment for the screw terminals and the cold-junction sensor. TheTBX-68S mounts on most European standard DIN EN mounting rails. The TBX-68S provides screw terminal connections to all channels exceptthe cold-junction sensor.̭͈Ρ΅νιϋΠ͉ͅȂུࢊβȜΐ͜܄̞̳ͦ̀͘͘ȃ
