These programmingenvironments are already installed on your system but you must insert aconfiguration disk when prompted so that you can access and use them. Ifyou ordered either of these programming environments, select theappropriate checkbox and insert the configuration disk. Follow theinstructions as prompted.Do not select either checkbox if you did not order LabVIEW orLabWindows/CVI. Continue with the rest of the Setup program.Caution Do not disregard the prompt to configure the system for LabVIEW orLabWindows/CVI. The Setup program assumes you do not need these programsand deletes them from your hard drive unless you insert the configuration diskduring the initial setup. If you neglect to do this, you will need to install LabVIEWor LabWindows/CVI from the CD or diskette set if you want to use either program. If your system includes any VXI devices, you should now run T&MExplorer. It prompts you to run Resman, which is the National InstrumentsResource Manager. You must run Resman every time the chassis power iscycled so that your application can access devices in the VXI/VME chassis. You can configure T&M Explorer to automatically run Resman onpower-up. T&M Explorer contains right-click help that leads you throughyour configuration tasks.Whether you are a VXI or VME user, please continue with Chapter 3,Developing Your Application, for information about using T&M Explorerin your system.!
