NX100 Installation Manual Commissioning tasksIssue 3.2 2017-03-31 Page 9-1Section 9: Commissioning tasksThe transmitter contains solid-state devices that may be damaged if subjected to excessive heat orhigh-voltage transients. Ensure that circuits are not overdriven or disconnected from their loads whileturned on.The transmitter was precisely calibrated and tested during manufacturing. Do not change anyadjustments other than those specifiedPre-commissioning tasks1. Confirm the ac power source's nominal, loaded, phase-to-phase, rms voltage.2. Ensure that ac power source is switched off at the safety interlock switch.3. Identify which primary winding taps should be used and connected to the transformer's acpower input (Line) terminals. See Table 4.1 on page 4-1.4. Confirm that the taps are configured correctly.5. Remove the rear filters from the transmitter and spray them with filter coat adhesive spray(Nautel Part # HQ59), located in the ancillary kit. Re-install the rear filters on thetransmitter.WARNING: Before applying ac power and turning on the transmitter, youmust customize some circu its to the station's powe r source and operatingrequirements. Do not perform this pre-commissioning unless you are astation engineer or a competent electronics technician.WARNING: If you do not observe this precaution, you could be seriouslyinjured or killed by the voltages on the circuit breaker and thetransformer terminals.CAUTION:REMOVE AIR FILTERS BEFORE USING THE FILTER COAT ADHESIVE SPRAY. THE SPRAYWILL CONTAMINATE THE INSIDE OF THE TRANSMITTER, CAUSE ACCELERATED DUST/DIRT BUILDUP AND COMPROMISE CRITICAL SPACINGS FOR VOLTAGE BREAKDOWN.
