Water Bottle Boiling Chamber Distiller ChassisPREPARE YOUR DISTILLERBefore using your distiller for the first time, please follow the steps below.CLEAN THE WATER BOTTLEFirst, make sure the dispensing valve is installed and tightened onto the waterbottle. Then fill the water bottle about 3⁄4 full with water. Add one or two drops ofdish detergent to the water. Do not install the carbon filter at this time. Sealthe bottle’s top opening with the cap supplied. Shake the bottle vigorously andthen drain. Rinse the bottle thoroughly to remove all of the detergent.NOTE: Do not allow the soap/water mixture to remain in the water bottle forlong periods of time. Do not use the water bottle to store liquids other thandistilled water. Liquids other than distilled water may transfer a taste or odor to thewater bottle.TO SANITIZE WATER BOTTLEAdd 43⁄4 ounces (150 ml) of 3% hydrogen peroxide solution (H2O2) to the waterbottle. Fill the bottle with hot (160˚F/71˚C) distilled or tap water. Do not installthe carbon filter at this time. Cap the water bottle and shake the vigorously.Let stand for twenty minutes then drain thoroughly. Rinse with room temperaturedistilled or tap water, then drain. Water bottle may be used immediately orallowed to air dry.PREPARE THE CARBON FILTERTo prepare the carbon filter, place it in boiling water for five minutes. Drainexcess water from filter. Place the filter into the water bottle. The same cleaningprocess should be used whenever a new replacement filter is installed.
