Care and MaintenanceSTAINLESS STEELThere are many different stainless steel cleaners available.Always use the mildest cleaning procedure first, scrubbing inthe direction of the grain. To touch up noticeable scratches inthe stainless steel, sand very lightly with dry 100 grit emerypaper in the direction of the grain.Specks of grease can gather on the surfaces of the stainlesssteel and bake on to the surface and give the appearance ofrust. For removal use a mild abrasive pad in conjunction with astainless steel cleaner.GRILL GRATEThe easiest way to clean the grill is immediately after cookingis completed and after turning off the flame. Wear a barbequemitt to protect your hand from the heat and steam. Dip a brassbristle barbeque brush in water and scrub the hot grill. Dip thebrush frequently in the bowl of water. Steam, created as watercontacts the hot grill, assists the cleaning process by softeningany food particles. If the grill is allowed to cool before cleaning,cleaning will be more difficult.ENSURE THAT THE GAS SUPPLY AND THE KNOBS AREIN THE “OFF” POSITION. MAKE SURE THE RANGE TOPBURNER IS COOL BEFORE REMOVAL.GRILL BURNERSExtreme care should be taken when moving a burner as itmust be correctly centered on the orifice before any attempt ismade to relight the grill. Frequency of cleaning will depend onhow often you use the grill.MAIN GRILL BURNER CLEANINGEnsure the gas supply is off and the knobs are in the “OFF”position. Make sure the grill is cool. Clean the exterior of theburner with a wire brush. Clear stubborn scale with a metalscraper. Clear any clogged ports with a straightened paperclip. Never use a wooden toothpick as it may break off andclog the port. Please note if insects or other obstructions areblocking the flow of gas through the burner, and if so you willneed to call our customer service line 1-800-913-8999.GREASE TRAY CLEANINGThe grease tray should be emptied and wiped downperiodically and wash with a mild detergent and warm watersolution. A small amount of sand may be placed in bottom ofgrease tray to absorb the grease. Check the grease trayfrequently, do not allow excess grease to accumulate andoverflow out of the grease tray.BURNER CLEANING1. Turn off the gas supply, and make sure all the knobs arein the “OFF” position.2. Wait for the grill to cool.3. Clean the exterior of the burner with a wire brush. Usea metal scrapper to stubborn stains.4. Clear clogged port with a straightened paper clip. Neveruse a wooden toothpick as it may break off and clog theport.5. Insert the burner onto the orifice. As shown below,make sure burner hole aim at orifice .Step 2. Secure the main burner on the back wall of fire boxwith 1 Pin and secure it at the front of fire box with 1 screw.13
