This task must ONLY be performed in an areaknown to be non-hazardous.Fully charge the XPR-5522GMX before the fi rst use, or if the battery is new or has beenunused for several months. The maximum charge time required is approximately 6 hours.DAILY USEWARNING: TO PREVENT IGNITION OF A HAZARDOUS ATMOSPHERE, DO NOTATTEMPT TO CHARGE THIS PRODUCT IN THE HAZARDOUS ENVIRONMENT.THIS TASK MUST ONLY BE PERFORMED IN AN AREA KNOWN TO BE NON-HAZARDOUS.y Use only the supplied Nightstick charger, 5522-BATT rechargeable battery pack and AC orDC adapter. For best performance, charge the light when the fl ashlight beam starts to dim.y Connect the AC power adapter to the charger. The LED indicator will not be illuminated atthis point.y With the flashlight facing forward, slide the light into the charger until the contacts snapinto place.y The LED charging light changes to constant red while charging and remains red until thebattery is fully charged. The charging light turns green when fully charged.y The total time to fully charge varies depending on the remaining charge in the battery pack.y To confi rm a full charge, keep the light in the charger and turn it on. The LED indicator willchange to red. Turn off the light and if fully charged, the LED indicator will turn green. If not,leave in charger until charge is completed and turns green.REPLACING LITHIUM-ION RECHARGEABLE BATTERYWARNING: TO PREVENT IGNITION OF A HAZARDOUS ATMOSPHERE, DO NOT OPENTHE LENS BEZEL IN THE HAZARDOUS ENVIRONMENT. THIS TASK MUST ONLY BEPERFORMED IN AN AREA KNOWN TO BE NON-HAZARDOUS.WARNING: WHEN EXCHANGING THE RECHARGEABLE BATTERY PACK, USEONLY THE APPROVED 5522-BATT RECHARGEABLE BATTERY PACK FROM BAYCOPRODUCTS.WARNING: TO PREVENT IGNITION OF A HAZARDOUS ATMOSPHERE, THERECHARGEABLE BATTERY PACK MUST ONLY BE EXCHANGED IN AN AREA KNOWNTO BE NON-HAZARDOUS.y Loosen the locking screw located on the side of the lens cap enough to allow the bezelto unscrew. CAUTION: Do not attempt to completely remove the locking screw as it is notnecessary and may damage the threads.y Unscrew the lens bezel from the housing in a counter-clockwise direction.y Loosen each of the two charger contact pins located below the fl oodlight lens just enoughto allow the refl ector / circuit assembly to be removed. Loosen them until approximately 1/8”of thread is visible. CAUTION: Do not attempt to completely remove these screws as it is notnecessary and will potentially damage the light’s ability to charge.y Turn the light upside down and carefully shake it in order to remove the refl ector / circuitassembly and allow the assembly to slide into your hand. CAUTION: Do not touch the refl ectorsurface with your fi nger. This may damage the refl ector surface.y Allow the battery pack to slide out of the light. Make note of the battery pack’s orientationwithin the handle.y Using only the approved replacement 5522-BATT rechargeable battery pack from BaycoProducts, slide the new battery pack into the handle of the light using the directional arrowmarked on the side of the pack as a guide to proper battery orientation.y Align the refl ector / circuit assembly so that the switches on the assembly are aligned withthe switches on the housing. Carefully insert the assembly back into the fl ashlight housing untilit is fully seated. CAUTION: Be careful to not touch the refl ector surface with your fi nger. Thismay damage the refl ector surface.
