Refer tothe page numbers listed in the right-most column for information on solvingthe problems listed here.Electronically-Controlled CamerasIn extremely rare instances, unusual characters may appear in the monitor and thecamera may stop functioning. In most cases, this phenomenon is caused by a strongexternal static charge. Turn the camera off, remove and replace the battery, and turnthe camera on again, or, if you are using an AC adapter (optional), disconnect andreconnect the adapter, and turn the camera on again. Note that disconnecting thepower source as described above may result in the loss of any data not recorded tothe memory or memory card at the time the problem occurred.
