Enhancing Contrast: D-LightingD-Lighting can be used to create copies, with enhanced brightness and con-trast, brightening dark portions of a picture. Enhanced copies are stored asseparate files.1 Select the desired picture from full-frame (PI_ 22) or thumbnail (PI_. 42) play-back mode and press "1=21,• The original picture is displayed at left and the pic-ture applied with D-lighting enhancement is dis-played at right.2 Press the multi selector • or • tochoose [OK] and press O,• A new copy with enhanced brightness and contrastis created.• To cancel D-Lighting, choose [Cancel] and press O.• For information on using the multi selector, see"Multi Selector" ([] 8).• D-Lighting copies can be recognized by the r_ icondisplayed during playback.45
