Focus and exposure remain lockedwhile the shutter-release button is pressedhalfway.When a face is detected, it is framed by the double borderindicating the active focus area. When the subject is infocus, the double border turns green.Shutter speed AperturevalueWhen a face is not detected, the camera automaticallyselects one (or more) of the nine focus areas containingthe subject closest to the camera. When focus is set, theactive focus area (up to nine areas) turns green.Shutter speed AperturevalueWhen digital zoom is used, the focus area is not displayed Focus indicatorand the camera focuses at the center of the frame. Oncefocus has been acquired, the focus indicator will glowgreen.If the focus area or the focus indicator blinks red whenthe shutter-release button is pressed halfway, the camera is unable to focus. Modify thecomposition and press the shutter-release button halfway again.:2 Press the shutter-release button the rest ofthe way down.The shutter is released and the picture will be recorded tothe memory card or internal memory.30
