Wait until the display stabilizes before shooting.• Vibration reduction may be unable to completely eliminate the effects of camera shake insome situations.• [VR] stands for vibration reduction.u AF AssistIf [Auto] (default setting) is selected, AF-assist illumination will be used toassist the focus operation when the subject is poorly lit.Note that for some scene modes, AF-assist illumination turns off automati-cally.To disable this function, choose [Off]. When set to [Off], the camera may beunable to focus if lighting is poor.On (default setting)Vibration reduction is enabled when taking pictures and recording movies.Camera detects and factors out panning movements when reducing camerashake.
