393nReplacing the Clock BatteryThe camera clock is powered by a CR1616 lithium battery with alife of about four years. If the B icon is displayed in the topcontrol panel while the exposure meters are on, the battery isrunning low and needs to be replaced. When the battery isexhausted, the B icon will blink while the exposure meters areon. Photographs can still be taken but will not be stamped withthe correct time and date, and interval timer photography will notfunction correctly. Replace the battery as described below.1 Remove the main battery.The clock battery chamber is located on the roof of the mainbattery chamber. Turn the camera off and remove theEN-EL4a battery.2 Open the clock battery chamber.Slide the clock battery chamber covertoward the front of the main batterychamber.3 Remove the clock battery.4 Insert the replacement battery.Insert a new CR1616 lithium battery sothat the positive side (the side markedwith “+” and the battery name) is visible.
