Pictures taken while the icon isflashing do not include location data.• No icon: No new location data have beenreceived from the GPS device for at least two seconds. Pictures takenwhen the o icon is not displayed do not include location data.A HeadingThe heading is only recorded if the GPS device isequipped with a digital compass (note that theGP-1 and GP-1A are not equipped with acompass). Keep the GPS device pointing in thesame direction as the lens and at least 20 cm(8 in.) from the camera.A Coordinated Universal Time (UTC)UTC data is provided by the GPS device and is independent of thecamera clock.
