In most cases, this phe nom e non is caused by astrong external static charge. Turn the camera off, remove and replace the battery,and turn the camera on again, or, if you are using an AC adapter (available sepa -rate ly), discon nect and recon nect the adapter and turn the camera on again. If theproblem persists, press the reset switch (see right) and then reset the camera clockto the correct date and time ( 68). In the event ofcon tinued mal function, contact your retail er or Nikonrep re sen tative. Note that discon nect ing the powersource as described above may result in loss of anydata not recorded to the memory card at the time theprob lem occurred. Data already recorded to the cardwill not be affected.Reset switch
