230 Wi-Fi❚❚ Terminating the ConnectionWi-Fi can be disabled by:• Selecting Wi-Fi > Network connection > Disable in thecamera setup menu• Starting movie recording• Turning the camera off❚❚ Restoring Default SettingsTo restore default network settings, select Wi-Fi > Networksettings > Reset network settings. A confirmation dialog willbe displayed; highlight Yes and press J to restore defaultnetwork settings.A The Wi-Fi DisplayWhile Wi-Fi is enabled, a c icon will flash inthe information display. The icon will stopflashing once a connection has beenestablished and the camera is exchangingdata with the smart device.D Wi-FiRead the warnings on pages xx to xxii before using the Wi-Fi function.To disable Wi-Fi in settings in which its use is prohibited, select Wi-Fi >Network connection > Disable in the camera setup menu. Note thatEye-Fi cards can not be used while Wi-Fi is enabled and that thestandby timer will not turn off while the Wireless Mobile Utility app onthe smart device is communicating with the camera. If no data areexchanged for about 5 minutes, the standby timer will turn off. Thecamera Wi-Fi function is only available when a memory card is insertedand can not be used when a USB or HDMI cable is connected. Toprevent loss of power while connected, charge the battery beforeenabling the network connection.
