241C The Shooting Menu: Shooting OptionsAdjust ISO sensitivity (0 99).❚❚ Auto ISO Sensitivity controlIf Off is chosen for Auto ISO sensitivity control in P, S, A, and Mmodes, ISO sensitivity will remain fixed at the value selected bythe user (0 99). When On is chosen, ISO sensitivity willautomatically be adjusted if optimal exposure can not beachieved at the value selected by the user. The maximum valuefor auto ISO sensitivity can be selected using the Maximumsensitivity option in the Auto ISO sensitivity control menu(choose lower values to prevent noise (randomly-spaced brightpixels, fog, or lines), but note that if the ISO sensitivity selectedby the user is higher than that chosen for Maximum sensitivity, the value selected by the user will be used instead; the minimumvalue for auto ISO sensitivity is automatically set to ISO 100). Inmodes P and A, sensitivity will only be adjusted if underexposurewould result at the shutter speed selected for Minimum shutterspeed ( 1/ 2000–30 s, or Auto; in modes S and M, sensitivity will beadjusted for optimal exposure at the shutter speed selected bythe user). If Auto (available only with CPU lenses) is selected, thecamera will choose the minimum shutter speed based on thefocal length of the lens (auto shutter-speed selection can befine-tuned by highlighting Auto and pressing 2). Slowershutter speeds will be used only if optimal exposure can not beachieved at the ISO sensitivity value selected for Maximumsensitivity.ISO Sensitivity SettingsG button ➜ C shooting menu
