Several pre-flashes are fired before the main flash to reduce "red-eye." In addi-tion, if red-eye is detected, the camera will automatically correct it when storing the picture("In-Camera Red-Eye Fix"). When using this function, there is a slight delay before you canpress the shutter-release button again for the next shot. Depending on the situation, red-eyereduction may not always produce the desired results. In some rare cases, other picture areasmay be affected.
