Switch off the vacuum clean-er2. Switch off the appliance tobe connected.CAUTION!Follow the operating instructionsand safety instructions for appli-ances connected to the powertool socket.2 Description2.1 Purpose This cleaner is suitable to pickup dry, nonflammable dust, liq-uids, sawdust and hazardousdusts with maximum room con-centration values ≥ 0.1 mg/m3(dust class M).Depending on how hazardousthe dust is, the cleaner mustbe fitted with appropriate filters.See table in section 5.1.1.Tool socketMaintenance, cleaning andrepairOnly carry out maintenancework described in the operatinginstructions.Always pull out the mains plugbefore cleaning and mainte-nance of the vacuum cleaner.During maintenance and clean-ing, handle the vacuum cleanerin such a manner that there is nodanger for maintenance staff orother persons.In the maintenance area– use filtered compulsory ven-tilation– wear protective clothing– clean the maintenance areso that no harmful substanc-es get into the surroundings.Before removing the vacuumcleaner from the area contami-nated with harmful substances:– clean the outside of the vac-uum cleaner, wipe it clean orpack the vacuum cleaner inwell sealed packaging– and avoid spreading depos-ited harmful dust.During maintenance and repairwork all contaminated parts thatcould not be cleaned satisfacto-rily must be:– packed in well sealed bags– disposed of in a manner thatcomplies with valid regula-tions for such waste remov-al.A dust test must be performed atleast once every year by Nilfisk-Alto service or a trained person.This test includes, for example,whether there is damage tothe filter, the vacuum cleaner issealed to the air and the controlequipment works properly.Accessories and spare parts Use only the brushes suppliedwith the vacuum cleaner orspecified in the operating manu-al. The use of other brushes canadversely affect safety.Use only original Nilfisk-Altoaccessories and spare parts(see section 9.5). The use ofother parts can adversely affectsafety.
