Use your righthand to lower or raise the squeegee handle. To operate thesqueegee, follow this procedure:1. To lower the squeegee and start the vac motor movethe squeegee lever to the right and down. See figure#12.2. To raise the squeegee, lift the squeegee lever up.See figure #13.Note: The center position lets the vac motor continue torun with the squeegee off the floor to avoid drips.How to Fill The Solution TankCAUTION: Make sure water or solutiondoes not enter the opening forthe vacuum motor See figure #14.The solution tank can be filled in the front or through theclear drain hose at the rear of the machine. To fill thesolution tank follow this procedure:1. Remove the solution tank lid. See figure #15.2. Fill the solution tank with water.3. Add a cleaning chemical to the water. for thecorrect amount, follow the directions shown on thecontainer.WARNING: Water solutions or cleaning materialsused with this type of machine canleave wet areas on the floor surface.These areas can cause a dangerouscondition for the operator or otherpersons. Always put CAUTION signsnear the area you are cleaning.WARNING: Machines can ignite flammablematerials and vapors. Do not usewith or near flammables such asgasoline, grain dust, solvents, andthinners. Only use a cleaning concen-tration recommended by the chemicalmanufacturer.WARNING: Nilfisk ALTO recommends a maxi-mum water temperature of120°F(49°C)4. Replace the solution tank lid.5. When filling the machine from the rear, position theclear drain hose against bracket and insert hoseas shown in figure 16.
