Turn off the key and disconnect the batteries.2. To reduce the weight of the machine, drain boththe recovery and solution tanks. To lower thecenter of gravity of the machine, you may evenchoose to remove the recovery tank from themachine.3. Block both sides of the machine at the rearlifting points (15) to keep the machine stable andprevent it from rolling. To prevent tipping, it isalso a good idea to chain the machine down at therear lifting points.4. Raise the front of the machine by jacking at thecenter front flat surface of the solution tank.5. Block the front of the machine at the forwardanchor points (16) so the jacking device can beremoved.6. Remove the two master links (23) from thesteering chain, and remove the chain from thechain disk (10).Reassembly NotesAfter reinstalling the chain, it may be necessary toadjust the chain tension described below.1. Loosen the four bolts (46) that secure the steeringcolumn to the frame.2. Slide the steering column forward or backward totension the chain.
