28Service Manual – SC401, SCRUBTEC 34404 - Control System - BatteryFunctional DescriptionThe (electrical) functions of the machine and ofthe Main Machine Controller (EB1) are controlledvia the handlebar with the 3 buttons on the UserInterface Controller (EB2) and activation of theOperator Presence Sensors (S1, S2) inside the 2handlebars (the position of these is indicated by thecorresponding icons)If present, the Ignition Key (K1) must be turned tothe I position to turn on the machineThe machine is turned on and off by pressing theMain buttonWith the machine running, the battery charge levelis displayed using the 6 LEDs of the battery symbolWhen the machine is turned on, the brushing andvacuum functions are off, and only the electric drivesystem (if present) is activeTo activate the electric drive system (if present),activate at least 1 of the 2 Operator presence sensors(S1, S2) The system reaches the setspeed through the Speed Adjuster (RV1), if at leastone of the sensors is activeBy pressing and holding the Reverse gear switch(SW1) along with the Operator presence sensors (S1,S2), the system activates the reverse gear until thebutton is pressedBy pressing (for 2 sec ) the Main button when themachine is running, the brushing (with the solutionflow preset to level 1) and vacuum (full power)functions are turned on or off The LEDs on the Mainand Vacuum buttons show the related ON statusBrush rotation and the activation of the pump,however, also require the activation of at least 1 ofthe 2 Operator Presence Sensors (S1, S2)The vacuum function can be activated with reducedpower, deactivated or reactivated by pressing theVacuum system button in sequence Thecorresponding LED provides the operator withinformation on the status of the function:• LED turned off = function disabled• LED turned on = function running at full power• LED blinking 2 sec ON - 0 5 sec OFF =functionrunning at reduced power (silent mode)The solution flow can be increased to level 2, 3 orelse disabled, via the Solution button Thecorresponding LEDs provide the operator withinformation on the status of the function
