If this happens, repeatstep 4. When the pitcher and lid areproperly installed, the program buttonLEDs will illuminate, indicating theappliance is ready to use.1 Place the unplugged motor base ona clean, dry, level surface such as acountertop or table. Press downward onthe motor base to adhere the suctioncups to the work surface. Then plug themotor base into a wall outlet.2 Set the pitcher on a level surface andadd ingredients, making sure to notexceed the MAX LIQUID line. DO NOTadd dairy products past the MAXDAIRY line.3 Place the lid on the pitcher, aligning thetriangle symbol located on the lid with thetriangle symbol located on the pitcher’shandle. Press down on both tabs to locklid into place. The triangle symbol MUSTbe aligned for the lid to lock in place andthe unit to operate.Vacuum blending recommendedfor smoothies, soups, dips, frappes, juices,and protein drinks for brighter flavors,vibrant colors, and improved textures. Tovacuum blend, press DRINKSAVER. Theunit will vacuum seal for approximately30 seconds or until the vacuum seal isachieved. Then press desired program.4 Lower pitcher onto base. Align arrowon pitcher with arrow on base. Thenrotate the pitcher clockwise until itclicks into place.NOTE: The motor base can detectwhich container is installed. Only thefunctions available for a particularcontainer will illuminate.To learn more about the programs thatwork with the pitcher, refer to page 11.NOTE: Vacuum blending is notrecommended for frozen drinksor ice cream programs.NOTE: If vacuum blending, youmust release the vacuum seal beforeremoving the pitcher lid (see step 8on the next page for more information).5 Press the Power button to turn theunit on. The available program buttonswill illuminate and the unit will beready to use.6 Select your desired Auto-iQ® ormanual program.7 When blending is complete, rotatepitcher counterclockwise to removefrom motor base, then place on alevel surface.
