11Warning: NiteRider discourages battery initialization through“bench testing” (operating the light in static conditions) as theexcessive heat generated can damage the headlamp.Smart Battery ProtectionClassic Plus’ “smart” battery incorporates thermal protectioncircuitry that turns the battery off when it overheats fromcharging, external heat, or a short circuit. When the thermalprotection circuit is activated, the system will lock and the fuelgauge will become dark. To clear the system and return it tonormal operation, unplug the light from the battery and allowthe battery to cool.Warning: It is important to avoid over-discharging the battery.When operating the light, turn the lamp off before it reachescomplete darkness.StorageRechargeable batteries perform better and last longer if theyare brought to a complete charge before storing and every 45to 60 days when not in use.Disconnect the battery from the headlamp, and store thesystem in a cool dry place. |
