8M O U N T I N G T H E B A T T E R YThe Li-Ion battery can be mounted to the bike frame orplaced in a jersey pocket, hydration pack, or fanny pack.Warning: For safety reasons, a cyclist should never betethered to the bike. If the headlamp is mounted to thehelmet, do not mount the battery to the frame. Conversely, ifthe headlamp is mounted to the handlebar, do not place thebattery in a pocket or pack.Frame Mount1. Thread the wide Velcro strapthrough the slots on the topof the battery clip.2. Attach the concave surfaceof the battery to a safe,convenient location on theframe (typically under the topor down tube), placing theVelcro strap over the tube butunder any shift or brakecables.3. Secure the handlebar cord tothe frame using the thinVelcro tie. Make sure thecord does not interfere withany moving parts.Pocket or Pack1. Route the helmet cord through ahelmet vent or along the outside ofthe helmet using the thin Velcro tieto secure the cord.2. Connect the helmet cord to thebattery, making sure the cord doesnot interfere with any moving parts.3. Simply place the battery in apocket or pack. |
