Dial number (tone mode).Are You Behind a PBX?Your telephone system may be connected to a Private BranchExchange (PBX) rather than to the telephone company's lines. Thismeans that when you get dial tone on an outside line, you are reallygetting dial tone from the PBX. This may affect the way you placeoutside calls. For example: After you press a line key, you may have to dial an additionalaccess code (e.g. 9) before you can dial your outside number. The PBX may restrict you from placing certain types of calls. You may be able to Transfer and Conference your calls to othersystems connected to the same PBX.Ask your Communication's Manager if you are behind a PBX.1. Access an outside trunk.2.
