Press the end key to return to thestandby mode directly.■ MessagesCreate a messageYour device supports the sending of text messages beyond the character limit fora single message. Longer messages will be sent as a series of two or more messages.Your service provider may charge accordingly. Characters that use accents or othermarks, and characters from some language options like Chinese, take up more spacelimiting the number of characters that can be sent in a single message.The number of available characters/the current part number of a multipart messageis shown on the top right of the display, for example, 902/1.To send a message, the phone number of your message center has to be saved inthe phone. See "Message settings," p. 20.1. In the standby mode, select Menu > Messages > Create message.2. Write the message. The number of available characters and the current partnumber are shown on the top right of the display.3. When the message is complete, select Options > Send, enter the recipient’sphone number, and select OK.You can send the message to several people if you have saved them in yourcontact list. (See "Contacts," p. 22.) Select Options > Sending options > Sendto many, scroll to the first recipient, and select OK. Repeat this for each recipient.When you have finished, select Done.To send a message to a predefined distribution list, select Options > Sendingoptions > Send to list. For details about distribution lists, see "Distributionlists," p. 20.Note: When sending messages, your device may display Message Sent.This is an indication that the message has been sent by your device tothe message center number programmed into your device. This is notan indication that the message has been received at the intendeddestination. For more details about messaging services, check with yourservice provider.
