M e s s a g e s32Save voice mail dialing codeYou can insert special characters called dialing codes into phone numbers suchas voice mail, and save the number to a 1-touch dialing location. Dialing codesinstruct the receiving system to pause, wait, bypass, or accept the numbers thatfollow them in the dialing string.Voice mail is a network service. The following instructions are examples ofcommon operations. Please check with your service provider for specificinstructions for using your voice mail service.Write down number and process1. Write down your voice mailbox number.2. Call and check your voice mail as you normally would.3. Write down your interaction with the recorded prompts step-by-step. Notethat each voice mail service may vary. Your steps may resemble the following:Dial 2145551212, pause 5 seconds, press 1, pause 2 seconds, press 1234, andpress *.Be precise; you will need this information in "Set up voice mail with dialingcodes," page 32.Insert dialing codesPress * repeatedly to cycle through dialing codes. When the desired code appearsin the display, pause briefly and the code is inserted into the dialing string.The following dialing codes are available:Set up voice mail with dialing codes1. Select Contacts > 1-touch dialing.2. Scroll to an empty 1-touch dialing slot, and select Assign.3.
