12 Copyright © Nokia 2003• MENUSA menu is a list of choices you can make to change settings on your phone or usevarious phone features. Each menu can contain several levels of submenus. You canuse menus and submenus two ways: by scrolling or by using a shortcut. This guideuses the scroll method when describing how to use the phone features.Scroll method1 At the start screen, select Menu; then scroll through the menus using theScroll up and Scroll down keys.2 Use the scroll and selection keys to navigate the submenus.3 Press the End key to return to the start screen.For example, when you see ”From the menus, select Profiles > Silent,” the scrollingmethod is as follows: at the start screen, press the Left selection key (under theword Menu), scroll to Profiles, press the Left selection key (under the word Select),scroll to Silent, and press the Left selection key (under the word Options).ShortcutsMenus and options are numbered so that you can quickly find your way to an option.The numbers appear in the top right corner of the screen and show your location inthe menu.1 Select Menu.2 Within 3 seconds, enter the first number of the menu function you wantto access.3 Repeat until you have entered all the numbers.For example, to select the Silent profile, select Menu 3-2-1.Menu Tips• You can scroll upward to quickly access the last option in a menu list.• You can return to the previous menu level by pressing Back.• To exit a menu and return to the start screen, press the End key. If you leave amenu by pressing the End key, you cancel any changes you made.• Some menus or menu options may not appear or may appear in a different order.Ask your service provider for details.
