This feature is only effective when calling anumber equipped with caller ID.Note: This feature is available only when supported by the wirelessnetwork and may not function if you are roaming.Important: This feature works on a call-by-call basis. You must enable thisfeature each time you want to block the sending of your own number tothe recipient’s caller ID.STORE THE FEATURE CODEBefore you can use the Send own caller ID call feature, you must store the featurecodes for activating this feature. Once the code is stored in your phone, it is sentautomatically to the network when you select this option from your phone’s menu.1 Press Menu 4-6-5 (Settings > Network services > Network feature setting).The Feature code prompt appears.2 Enter the feature code issued by your service provider and press OK.3 Scroll to Send own caller ID, press Select, then select Yes.PLACE A CALL WITHOUT SENDING YOUR NUMBER1 Press Menu 4-6-4 (Settings > Network services > Send own caller ID).2 Scroll to No, then press Select.3 Enter the desired phone number, then press OK or press Find to recall a phonenumber from the contact list.The phone automatically inserts the feature code into the dialing string anddials the phone number. The phone you are calling will not display your phonenumber through caller ID.• SELECT A PHONE NUMBERYour service provider programs your phone number and system information into yourphone’s memory when your phone is first activated. Your phone can hold up tothree numbers. This means that your phone can be activated in three different serviceareas.
