The loopset gives hearing-aid users clear access to digitaltelephony for the first time. It allows people with T-coil equipped hearing aids tomake and receive calls without noise interference.To activate the Loopset, see “Accessory settings” on page 56.Note: The loopset is sold separately as an accessory to the phone.HOW THE LOOPSET WORKSThe LPS-3 Loopset uses inductive technologyto transmit sound to a hearing aid equippedwith a T-coil. The sound from the phone isamplified more efficiently and backgroundnoise is eliminated.The loopset is easy to use. Wear the loopsetaround your neck, connect it to your phone,and speak directly toward the microphone.For detailed instructions on using the loopset,refer to the booklet that comes with the LPS-3.Set up the TTY/TDD profileYou can connect your phone to a TTY/TDD using theNokia TTY/TDD Adapter (HDA-9). In order for yourphone to recognize the TTY/TDD, you will need toconnect the adapter to your phone.Important: Some manufacturers of TTY/TDD devices suggest that the phonebe least 18 inches from the TTY/TDD device.
