Emergency 9 key is set to OFF when thephone leaves the factory.QUICK WAYS OF DIALINGMaking international callsTo make an international call, either dial the numberin the normal way (i.e. starting with the internationalprefix), or use the built-in quick method, utilizing theinternationally-recognized ‘+’ character; ‘+’ is availableon the * key.To use the quick method:Press * * (‘+’ will be displayed), instead of enteringthe international prefix, then dial the remainder of thenumber. For example, calling a UK number can bedone by entering a number starting ‘* * 4 4’.When sent, the international prefix (for the NAMcurrrently selected) will be generated automatically.Note, however, that if you store a number using theinternational prefix ‘+’, then when recalled it will bedisplayed with the appropriate dialing code.13
