Press thepower button briefly to activate the keypad anddisplay lights.Note: When the Keyguard is on, calls still may be possible to the officialemergency number programmed into your phone. Enter the emergencynumber and press the Talk key.Automatic KeyguardYou can have your phone automatically lock the keys after a time you specify. See“Set automatic Keyguard” on page 63 for more information.• SECURITY LEVELSThe security level determines your access to features when a nonowner SIM cardis used. A nonowner SIM card is one (other than the original) that is inserted afteryou power off the phone. There are three security levels:• Off—Owner and Nonowner cards are treated the same.• Memory—Nonowner cards can access SIM memory. Any changes to thememory setting requires the security code. The owner card has access to allfeatures, but the security code is required to change a memory setting.• Phone—The security code is required upon power-up.Use this procedure to set your security level.1 Select Menu > Settings > Security settings > Security level.After a brief pause, you are prompted to enter the security code. The defaultcode is 12345.
