The indicatorscrolls as the signal strength increases and decreases. To getthe strongest signal, try moving your phone slightly. If you’reinside a building, move toward a window.Use the keypad1 Enter the area code and phone number.2 Press Call.Hold the phone as you would any othertelephone, with the antenna pointed up.Important: As with any other radio transmitting device, do nottouch the antenna when the phone is switched on. Contact withthe antenna affects call quality and may cause the phone tooperate at a higher power level than otherwise needed.Warning: Do not switch on the phone when wireless phone use isprohibited or when it may cause interference or danger.Use the phone book1 From the Start screen, press and scroll to the number you want.ORPress , then press the number key that matches the first letter ofthe name to skip ahead quickly in the list.
