For example, abusiness can have a closed groupand separate groups created forcertain business functions.Add a groupSelect Menu > Push to talk > Addgroup. Select from the followingoptions:• Guided — to add a new group. Toset the security level for thegroup, select Public group orPrivate group. If you selectPrivate group, the phoneautomatically creates ascrambled part to the groupaddress that the members cannotview when they receive theinvitation to the group. Only theperson who creates the privategroup can invite more membersto the group. Enter the name forthe group. Select Default,Listened, or Inactive. The phoneindicates that the group is savedand its status. Default andListened are active groups. Whenyou press the PTT key to make agroup call, the default group iscalled if you have not scrolled toany other group or contact. Tosend an invitation to the group,select Yes when the phonerequests it. You can send theinvitation using a text messageor IR.The members you invite to thepublic groups can also invitemore members to the group.• Manual — to join an existinggroup. Enter the group address.Select Default, Listened, orInactive. The phone indicatesthat the group is saved and itsstatus. Default and Listened areactive groups. When you pressthe PTT key to make a group call,the default group is called if youhave not scrolled to any othergroup or contact.Receive an invitation1. When you receive a text messageinvitation to a group, Groupinvitation received: is displayed.2. To view the nickname of theperson who sent the invitationand the group address if thegroup is not a private group,select View.3. To add the group to your phone,select Save. To set the status forthe group, select Default,Listened, or Inactive.To reject the invitation, select Exit >Yes, or select View > Discard > Yes.
