Application settingsSelect Menu > Settings and Phone > Application sett..In application settings, you can edit the settings of some ofthe applications in your device.To edit the settings, you can also select Options >Settings in each application.Device updatesSelect Menu > Settings and Phone > Phone mgmt. >Device updates.With Device updates, you can connect to a server and receiveconfiguration settings for your device, create new serverprofiles, view existing software version and deviceinformation, or view and manage existing server profiles.If software updates over the air are supported by yournetwork, you may also be able to request updates throughthe device.You may receive server profiles and different configurationsettings from your service providers and companyinformation management department. These configurationsettings may include connection and other settings used bydifferent applications in your device.To connect to the server and receive configuration settingsfor your device, select Options > Server profiles, a profile,and Options > Start configuration.To create a server profile, select Options > Serverprofiles > Options > New server profile.To delete a server profile, select the profile and Options >Delete.To check for software updates, select Options > Check forupdates.Warning: If you install a software update, you cannotuse the device, even to make emergency calls, until theinstallation is completed and the device is restarted. Be sureto back up data before accepting installation of an update.Downloading software updates may involve the transmissionof large amounts of data (network service).Make sure that the device battery has enough power, orconnect the charger before starting the update.Security settingsPhone and SIMSelect Menu > Settings and Phone > Phone mgmt. >Security > Phone and SIM card.Select from the following:● PIN code request — When active, the code is requestedeach time the device is switched on. Deactivating the PINcode request may not be allowed by some SIM cards.● PIN code andPIN2 code — Change the PIN and PIN2 code.These codes can only include numbers. Avoid using accesscodes similar to the emergency numbers to preventaccidental dialling of the emergency number. If you forgetthe PIN or PIN2 code, contact your service provider.
