When the phone is locked, calls still may be possible to theofficial emergency number programmed into your phone.ACTIVATE1 Select Menu > Settings > Security settings > PIN code request.2 Enter the PIN code supplied by your service provider and select OK > On > OK.DEACTIVATE1 Select Menu > Settings > Security settings > PIN code request.2 Enter the PIN code supplied by your service provider and select OK > Off > OK.ChangeYou can change your PIN or PIN2 code to any 4-digit to 8-digit number. You mustactivate the PIN code request first. See “PIN code request” on page 64.1 Select Menu > Settings > Security settings > Change access codes > ChangePIN code.2 Enter the current PIN code, select OK, enter the new PIN code, and select OK.3 Enter the new PIN code again to verify and select OK.Note: If you make a mistake while entering the code, Code Error appears.Start again at step 2 and be careful to enter the correct code. If you enter thewrong code three times in a row, the PIN code is blocked. To unblock the PINcode, you need a personal unblocking key (PUK) from your service provider.• PUK CODESThe PUK and PUK2 codes are 4-digit to 8-digit codes that usually come from yourservice provider along with the SIM card. The PUK code unblocks a blocked PINcode, and the PUK2 code unblocks a blocked PIN2 code.If you block your phone, contact your service provider. When you enter the PUKcode given by your service provider, the phone prompts you to enter and thenconfirm a new PIN code.• SECURITY CODEThe default security code is 12345. Nokia recommends that you change the defaultcode immediately.
