You may receive thesecertificates from your serviceprovider. Authority certificatesand user certificates may also besaved in the security module bythe service provider.To view the list of the authority oruser certificates downloaded intoyour phone, select Menu >Settings > Security > Authoritycertificates or User certificates.The security indicator isdisplayed during a connection, ifthe data transmission between thephone and the content server isencrypted.The security icon does not indicatethat the data transmissionbetween the gateway and thecontent server (or place where therequested resource is stored) issecure. The service providersecures the data transmissionbetween the gateway and thecontent server.Digital signatureYou can make digital signatureswith your phone if your SIM cardhas a security module. Using thedigital signature can be the sameas signing your name to a paperbill, contract, or other document.To make a digital signature, selecta link on a page, such as the titleof the book you want to buy andits price. The text to sign isdisplayed, which may include theamount and date.Check that the header text is Readand that the digital signature iconis shown.If the digital signature icon doesnot appear, there is a securitybreach, and you should not enterany personal data such as yoursigning PIN.To sign the text, read all of the textfirst, and select Sign.The text may not fit within a singlescreen. Therefore, make sure toscroll through and read all of thetext before signing.Select the user certificate youwant to use. Enter the signing PIN(see “Access codes” p. 13), andselect OK. The digital signatureicon disappears, and the servicemay display a confirmation of yourpurchase.
