M e s s a g i n g33■ E-mail applicationThe e-mail application (network service) allows you to access yourcompatible e-mail account from your phone when you are not in theoffice or at home. This e-mail application is different from the SMS andMMS e-mail function.Your phone supports POP3 and IMAP4 e-mail servers. Before you cansend and retrieve any e-mail, you may need to do the following:• Obtain a new e-mail account or use the current one. For availabilityof your e-mail account contact your e-mail service provider.• For the settings required for e-mail, contact your e-mail serviceprovider. You may receive the e-mail configuration settings as aconfiguration message. See “Configuration settings service,” p. 10.You can also enter the settings manually. See “Configuration,” p. 63.To activate the e-mail settings, select Menu > Messaging > Messagesettings > E-mail messages. See “E-mail,” p. 42.This application does not support keypad tones.Write and send an e-mail1. Select Menu > Messaging > E-mail > Create e-mail.2. Enter the recipient’s e-mail address, a subject, and the e-mailmessage.To attach a file to the e-mail, select Options > Attach and the file inGallery.3. Select Send > Send now.Download e-mail1. To access the e-mail application, select Menu > Messaging > E-mail.2. To download e-mail messages that have been sent to your e-mailaccount, select Retrieve.To download new e-mail messages and to send e-mail that has beensaved in the Outbox folder, select Options > Retrieve and send.
