If themessage is too large, the phone maynot be able to receive it.Some networks allow text messagesthat include an Internet address whereyou can view the multimedia message.Multimedia messaging (networkservice) supports the followingformats:• Picture: JPEG, GIF, animated GIF,and WBMP• Sound: AMR and 13K audio• Video clips: 3GPP and 3GPP2formats or MPEG video and AMRaudio or 13K audio.The phone may not support allvariations of the file formats.You cannot receive multimediamessages during a call, a game,another Java application, or an activebrowsing session over GSM data.Because delivery of multimediamessages can fail for various reasons,do not rely solely upon them foressential communications.Write and sendThe wireless network may limit the sizeof multimedia messages. If the insertedpicture exceeds this limit, the devicemay make it smaller so that it can besent by MMS.To set the settings for multimediamessaging, see “Multimedia”, p. 30.To check availability and to subscribeto the multimedia messaging service,contact your service provider.1. Select Menu > Messaging >Create message > Multimedia.2. Enter a message. See “Text entry”,p. 14.Your phone supports multimediamessages that contain severalpages (slides). A message cancontain a calendar note and abusiness card as attachments.A slide can contain text, oneimage, and one sound clip; or textand a video clip.3. To insert a slide in the message,select New or select Options >Insert > Slide.
