To save an e-mail addressin Contacts, see ”Save numbersand text items” p. 43.Your device supports the sendingof text messages beyond thecharacter limit for a singlemessage. Longer messages is sentas a series of two or moremessages. Your service providermay charge accordingly.Characters that use accents orother marks, and characters fromsome language options likeChinese, take up more spacelimiting the number of charactersthat can be sent in a singlemessage.At the top of the display, you cansee the message length indicatorcounting backwards from themaximum number of characterssupported by the phone.Write and send SMSmessages1. Select Menu > Messaging >Create message > Textmessage.2. Enter the recipient’s phonenumber in the To: field. Toretrieve a phone number fromContacts, select Add >Contact. To send the messageto multiple recipients, add thedesired contacts one by one.Scroll right to add newcontacts manually in the To:field. To send the message topersons in a group, selectContact group and the desiredgroup. To retrieve the contactsto which you recently sentmessages, select Add >Recently used.
