You can use touchtones for many automated dial-upservices such as banking and airlines,or for entering your voice mailboxnumber and password.Touch tones are sent during anactive call. You can send themmanually from your phone keypad,or send them automatically bysaving them in your phone.Set type1. At the standby mode screen,select Menu > Settings > Phonesettings > DTMF tones > ManualDTMF tones.2. Select one of the followingoptions:Continuous—The tone sounds foras long as you press and hold akey.Fixed—Used to send tones of theduration you specify in the DTMFtone length option.Off—Used to turn off tones. Notones are sent when you press akey.Set lengthYou can also specify touch tonelength when using the Fixed option.At the standby mode screen, selectMenu > Settings > Phone settings >DTMF tones > DTMF tone length >Short (0.1 seconds) or Long (0.5seconds).Start-up toneYou can select to have a start-uptone when you first turn on yourphone.At the standby mode screen, selectMenu > Settings > Phone settings >Start-up tone > On or Off.Confirm UIM service actionsThis option allows you to requestnotification when your serviceprovider makes changes to UIM-related services.For availability, rates, andinformation on using UIM services,contact your UIM card vendor, forexample, network operator, serviceprovider, or other vendor.Select Menu > Settings > Phonesettings > Confirm SIM serviceactions > Yes or No.
