You can download a new set of mapsthrough the internet using the Nokia Map Loader PCsoftware.Nokia Map LoaderTo download the Nokia Map Loader on your PC and forfurther instructions, see www.maps.nokia.com.Before you download new maps for the first time,ensure that you have a memory card inserted in thephone.Select Menu > Maps to do an initial configuration.To change the selection of maps on your memory card,use the Nokia Map Loader to delete all maps on thememory card and download a new selection, to ensurethat all maps are from the same release.Network map serviceYou can set your phone to automatically downloadmaps that you do not have in your phone when needed.Select Menu > Maps > Settings > Networksettings > Allow network usage > Yes or In homenetwork.To prevent automatic download of maps, select No.Note: Downloading maps may involve thetransmission of large amounts of data through yourservice provider’s network. Contact your serviceprovider for information about data transmissioncharges.Maps and GPSYou can use the Global Positioning System (GPS) tosupport the Maps application. Find out your location,or measure distances and plot coordinates.Once the internal GPS receiver in your device locates asatellite signal, it may take several minutes for thephone to display the current location.
